Our Pastor
I heard the Word of God from the cradle and came to know the Lord in my youth. I was a student in Bible college when the Lord revealed to me the sovereignty of His grace, which is simply too good to be kept a secret! My thinking has been shaped by men like C.H. Spurgeon and D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. I came to Broken Arrow in 1984 and have been a part of Covenant Baptist Church ever since. Susan and I were married here in 1985. We served as missionaries for several years in Mexico. In December, 1990, I became pastor here. The Lord has been very good to us, and we are thankful for our church family. His faithfulness makes us faithful. The Lord blessed us with three sons. We now have one grandson, and two more grandbabies on the way! Learning more of God’s glorious truth and communicating it, regardless of the number of hearers, is my passion and delight. I have written short articles on a variety of subjects, as well as a major book, A Portrait of God. I enjoy classical music and the outdoors, especially with some good books.
